The Association for Historic Building Conservation (Régi Épületek Kutatóinak Egyesülete, Budapest) affirm their solidarity with the Slovakian conservation professionals, and want to support their objection against the incompetent (ir)regulation of the Slovakian institutional monument protection. The proposed role of a building authority would mean unnecessary and threatening overburden for an institution that has precious and special skills and dedication with a very important mission in the conservation and caretaking of heritage. The proposed system of a passive consent, instead of an active and informed decision-making, would make the professional control of monuments ineffective - as in the case of Hungary since the legal changes in 2012.
A Régi Épületek Kutatóinak Egyesülete szolidaritását fejezi ki a szlovák műemlékesekkel, és támogatja tiltakozásukat a műemlékvédelem szakszerűtlen átszervezésével szemben. A tervezet szerint a műemlékvédelmi hivatal elsőfokú építési hatósági jogkört töltene be, ami értelmetlen feladatokkal való túlterhelést jelentene, cserében a magyarországi jelenlegi rendszerhez hasonlóan bevezetnék a bejelentési eljárást, ami névlegessé teszi a szakmai kontroll lehetőségét.
